Mold special solution: Use Assab S136 steel harden to HRC53, Mold with multiple moldplates in vertical design, Part need to be done in 3 time over molding. LSR material must be vulcanizate twice, and molding in 100k class clean room.

- The mold steel is stainless steel because it has higher corrosion resistance and biocompatibility, which is very important for medical products. This is because in the mold production environment you may be exposed to body fluids, drugs and other corrosive substances.


- The use of special stainless steel can reduce the risk of corrosion and staining, ensure the reliability of the mold in long-term production, and prevent surface corrosive substances from contaminating the product during mold production.

All mold steels contact with the product parts are made of special steel: Swiss ASSAB S136 high-purity steel, with a heat treatment hardness of HRC52°.

In addition, special stainless steel usually has better mechanical properties, such as higher strength and wear resistance. This makes the mold more durable and able to withstand long-term production at high mold temperatures and high pressures with minimal deformation and bottom wear.

In comparison, regular mold steels do not have the same corrosion resistance and biocompatibility and may not have the same mechanical properties as specialty stainless steels. Using ordinary mold steel may increase the risk of mold damage, corrosion and contamination.

Mold structure

Due to the complexity of the product, the surgical incision protector mold is designed and produced in a vertical design with a multi-pallet structure.

1. Mold action:

The mold opens and close from top side and bottom side; the LSR equipment automatically opens → the upper mold rises → the lower mold slides to left or right.

2. Production process: 

When the mold is open, the lower mold stays at the end; manually open the middle plate of the lower mold plate → install PPSU accessories → close the middle plate → manually press the mold closing switch and the mold will automatically close →LSR raw material is injected into the high-temperature mold cavity of 150 degrees for vulcanization →After the vulcanization is completed, the mold automatically opens—→The lower mold plate slide to one end.


Part injection molding production is done in 100k class clean room.

Finished parts will be transfer to do second vulcanization to clean VOC 100%.
