How Does liquid silicone rubber injection molding Work?
Choose Fox Mold and we promise to do everything needed to ensure a successful and satisfactory working partnership. The 4 steps set out below will give you an insight into our custom LSR molding’s
advantages.
Step 1: Mixing
The uncured silicone substance is placed in two barrels — one labeled Compound A and the other Compound B. The cures are within one barrel while the other has an accelerant.


Using a metering unit, the two substances are automatically combined at a one-to-one ratio, with colors added along the way.
Step 2: Injection
Our molder programs the automated injection-molding machine within the proper shot size and according to your specified customization features.



Before the activation, we adjust the settings for temperature, cycle time, and pressure for the platens and pistons that close the mold to ensure efficient injection molding and to meet schedules.
Step 3: Heating
We heat the LSR injection mold to the right temperature, usually between 300 to 350º Fahrenheit, and then apply the right amount of clamping force.


The mold is closed together with the injector, pump, and supply while the screw pushes the material into the mold and cavities.
Step 4: Curing
Curing and 100% VOC Removal.
The Post-Curing are done by 36 sets of backers in our workshop, 100% VOC is removed during two time curing, the first time is nature curing during injection molding, the second time is more than 4-hour post curing after molding.
Professional Testing And Measuring Lab.
We have a professional lab with full equipped testing and measuring machines, control with well-establish rule. Machines are including VOC test tool, baby bottle flow tester, tension tester and micro tensile testing machine etc. To make sure all the EDM or ODM projects.
