What factors need to consider when you choose a grade of raw material?
When the customer does not know the product material, the engineer recommends the plastic raw material by asking the following information:
1), application industry: Does it need medical grade or food grade? Is impact resistance required? Resistant to high temperatures? It's waterproof? Dust prevention? UV protection? Chemical resistance? Flame retardant? Biocompatibility?
2), Usage environment: indoor or outdoor? What is the lowest temperature to the highest temperature? Do you need high temperature and low temperature resistance?
3), soft rubber such as TPE or silicone need to ask the hardness.
4), What is the burdget of part unit price for mass production.
After clients provide all above info, we will ask raw material supplier to recommend a suitable raw material by a data sheet.
