Fox Mold-Professional Injection Molding Manufacturer Provide Customize Service Since 2013.

Not all products require MF(Mold Flow Analysis).

Generally, Mold Flow analysis is performed only when the products are complex, and the dimension tolerance requirements are high. It is usually performed simultaneously with DFM(Design For Manufacture and Assembly).

What elements of a product does MF generally analyze?
A Mold Flow Report contents including:

1. Shows the part thickness layout.

2. Analyze the filling by specified raw material grade(for example Pocan B 3235);

3. Runner systerm layout of different option of hot runner system;

4. Filling/Melt Front time;

5. Temperature at flow front.

6. Welding line analysis.

7. Air traps analysis.

8. Pressure at V/P switchover.

9. Pressure at injection location X/Y plot.

10. Clamping force.

11. Volumetric shrinkage.

12. Sink make estimation analysis.

13. All effect deflection, X/Y/Z total deflection.

And Summary of all the issues and suggestion solution.

Tolerances nclude dimensional tolerance, shape tolerance, position tolerance, etc.

① Dimensional tolerance. Refers to the amount of change in the allowable size, which is equal to the absolute value of the algebraic difference between the maximum limit size and the minimum limit size.

② From tolerance. Refers to the total amount of change allowed for the form of a single actual element, including six items: straightness, flatness, roundness, cylindricity, line profile, and surface profile.

③ Position tolerance. Refers to the total amount of change allowed for the position of the associated actual element to the reference. It limits the relative positional relationship between two or more points, lines, and surfaces of a part, including eight items: parallelism, verticality, inclination, coaxiality, symmetry, position, circular runout, and total runout. Tolerances indicate the manufacturing accuracy requirements of parts and reflect the difficulty of their processing.

What is the general format of 3D drawings? What information is included?
We suggest customers providing two common formats: STP and IGS. Other formats are also available, such as CATIA, SOLIDWORK CREO, etc., if it is an assembly, we suggest customers provide complete assembly drawings. 3D drawing is including part structure and dimensions.
